Volunteering to support the community in Stafford
As part of our benefits, every colleague can take a day out to volunteer and give back to our local communities. Our People and Culture team volunteered at House Of Bread Stafford , a charitable organisation which supports vulnerable and homeless people in Stafford and the surrounding area.
The Avove team joined forces with the House of Bread team, taking part in a range of activities from baking bread and scones, making lunch and collecting fresh stock for their café to sorting through donated food and clothes.
Lead People Partner, Gordon, also joined volunteer Donald who took some larger household items to vulnerable people living locally and did a few tip runs. The team were touched by the work being undertaken by House of Bread on a daily basis.
At Avove, our colleagues can take advantage of volunteering days which gives them the opportunity to give back to their local communities.
